Job #2

So, I have decided (more like needed) to take on a second job.  Things are looking pretty bleak in Implant Land, and I think that it to be a wise decision to find alternate means of generating money.  But what do I do?  Sign spinner?  Burger flipper?  Internet SPAMMER?  Telephone Annoyer? How about Fitness Trainer?  And that, my friends, may be the choice.  I’m actually applying for an Assistant Manager position at my gym.  I think that I can do good things for it, having seen it decline over the past year or so.  I have some pretty good aspirations and goals for this little workout facility.  It’s got a big name, but it definitely is diminutive in size.

Another option (and I think that I have already landed the position) is working at a fitness center for kids.  And Lord knows I love working with the kids.  I am, of course, the “plygrndrlr”….

Korean Upper Management (KUM)

Somehow, I don’t know if the company that signs my checks understands how to do business in America.  Granted, they hold the top position in their respective field in all of Asia, but when it comes to dealing in America, they’re a small fish.

Recently, they’ve decided to alter the commission and incentive structure by reducing the earning capabilities of the sales force and increasing the quotas.  How the hell does that work?  In theory, I guess it sounds right, but I don’t live in Theoryland; I live in the United States of Mother Lovin’ America!

Bored Meeting

Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning it is the same routine:  Wake up by 5:30, get myself all dolled up, meet up with the guys for carpool, listen to Kevin & Bean for about half an hour (while listening to MTV and T bicker like an old married couple), drive cautiously though K-Town (K’s are notorious for their inability to drive- I seriously think my insurance premium doubled when I disclosed that my office was in K-Town), get nearly plowed by an erratic driving K in the parking lot, bitch about K’s inability to park, type up daily reports that were supposed to be “daily”, listen to MTV and T bicker more, wait for the rest of our co-workers to arrive (typically 15-20 minutes late), play dominoes online with MTV, listen to songs on imeem, check my lakers forum, check my facebook, check my myspace, check my lakers forum, yet again, more bickering by the two…. all to find out that there is no meeting to be held.

Now, mind you, there are times that we do have a meeting.  It is typically (in broken english), geared toward our inability to produce, with repeated sarcastic interjections by MTV and more bickering by the duo. And by the end of the discussion, we leave feeling confused, depressed and annoyed… only to face another 30 mile drive back to the Valley with more bickering…
