Honestly, I would rather have to deal with earthquakes than tornados and hurricanes. That shit is SEASONAL. Earthquakes happen unannounced and suddenly- that’s the fun in it.

I totally called Helen right after the earthquake, forgetting that she was in LA. I was asking her questions, and she, in her sweet voice, said, Deneen, I’m sorry. We just had an earthquake. Funny thing is that I texted my friends in SoCal to see if they were ok just minutes before…
Yeah, I love ‘em. I was actually at a grocery store picking up lunch when it hit… You can hear a bunch of stuff flying off the shelves and landing on the floor. It was fun… I have never been in a public place during an earthquake of that magnitude.
